INTRODUCTION
HOPAD Child & Women Promotion Society, a non-profit-making NGO dedicated to the welfare of children and women interest, was established in 2005 by a consortium of helpless, orphan, poor, affected and dalits Children and women’s rights activists. It rises to ensure the children and women’s different program’s and makes the government bodies aware of their duties and responsibilities.
Its focus is over the children’s rehabilitation and better development of them with good health, education, Salter of children with women’s Empowerment & to provide good opportunity. Through HOPAD’s children rehabilitation and quality education and women’s training program has been consistently successes to cerates government accountability of Nepal.
Now, Orphan children home is not new phrase in Nepal but they are not sufficient. HOPAD has aimed to ensuring the interest of the low-strata women development and different sectors orphan children’s promotion. This program is launching in Nepal with great vision, mission, goal and objects as very new concept.
The emphasis of the program lies in disseminating sensitive program lunching for the child and women sector not just for training but with sustainable development of them.
VISION
Every child has basic rights. So s/he must be guaranteed to get nutrition food, good health & quality education with lovely familiar environment & also women has rights to get equal opportunities, they must be provided social, economic, & environmental rights & equal opportunities.
MISSION
HOPAD plays important role for social changing agent to empower Nepalese women and children through capacity building and good sustainable trainings/ programs lunching on over the women and children , It also cares quality education, good heath and family environment in to the rehabilitated home & outside the too for the concern groups.
GOAL
Focus to product capable women and children in Nepal from the helpless, poor, orphan, affected and depressed groups inside and out side of the HOPAD. Minimum, it will try to serves more than 100 such children inside and 2500 out side of home & four hundred women will be able to facilitate their life easily within 5 years from the different programs.
It also will be opened branch office in some districts for the program of HOPAD.
OBJECTIVES

OPAD (Helpless, Orphan, Poor, Affected and Dalits) has following objectives:
- Make child and women independent by promoting them in terms of good and qualitative education and training & engaging them in the productive work and income generating program.
- Help women and children of the different part of the Nepal who are socially, culturally, and financially back from the right of them.
- Enhance the capacity of marginalized women and children and provide rehabilitation opportunities to the helpless, orphan, poor, affected & dalit children for better future.
- Establish good co-operation and networking with the national and international NGO’S/INGO’S and government for the support of the women and children.
- Establishment of volunteers services & helps street children.
- Establishment and operation / management of children’s home.
- Lunch the programs of micro-entrepreneurship, education, health and public awarenesh as helpful project for the community development.
FOCUS AREAS
HOPAD has focused in the following four areas:
- Rehabilitation of orphan, semi-orphan, helpless, poor and affected children
- Protection and promotion of child rights and best interest of the children
- Quality education, nutrition food, health care and other essentials.
- Develop women’s longitudinal and short sustainable projects/program for their guarantee life.
Future Plan of HOPAD
- To buy a small peace of land & build our own facility to accommodate 100 children
- To provide sponsorship for 2500 children
- To provide job skill training to the helpless women so as to ensure the livelihood for their children and concern women of Nepal.
- To establish HOPAD's own school within the premises of the new home
- To buy bus for the transportation of children (field trips, study visits, etc.)
- To establish branch office of the HOPAD in other parts of the Nepal.
- To create different sustainable projects for the development of women and children.
Location - Facilities - Our children
The HOPAD is located in the Lalitpur district, kathmandu valley, in the central region of Nepal. We currently operate on rented premises, including a building.
We have one small kitchen, 3 rooms, an office, a classroom and two guide rooms to provide for the needs of 12 children and total of 6 staff members working with us. The study classroom has two functions.
In the morning & evening study class of the children and for the other, the children have their meals in the same room.
Admission process for children
For orphans the birth certificates of the children, death certificate of mother and father are required, as well as a recommendation from the Village development committee or the District administration office, Police recommendation letter. A form of basic information of children is filled up.
For street children, the recommendations are usually submitted by the local police station.
For children from poor families, we require a recommendation letter from the VDC(Village Development Committee) municipalities recommendation letter containing a detailed description of the family economic background and the justification of the admission at child home (reasons for the admission to the HOPAD, incl. extreme poverty, lack of educational facilities or no access to them, etc.)
After admission:
The placement includes accommodation, proper food, tuition by our in-home teachers, and enrolment in schools, health care and other all essentials needs.
Number and distribution of children
Street & unknown orphan children: children (aged 1-5) brought from the street by the police recommendation in our HOPAD home.
They are provided proper food, education and medical care. Children from poor families and others: 12 children from various districts and Police office of Nepal are accommodated, provided food, and education. At present, 2 orphans, 2 abandoned 1 partially orphan, 2 conflicts suffered and 5 poor/needy children are living in the HOPAD. Age: 6 months to 10 years.
In addition, 6 weak, poor and conflict suffered children are getting general stationary facility from the HOPAD.
ACTIONS
HOPAD actively carries out the following actions in order to achieve it's over all objectives:
- Manage quality education in school and home with nutrition food and health.
- rovide family environment to the children.
- Handle capacity building program to the women and children from the different kinds supports of national and international government & non- government agencies.
- Establish networking relation with different donors for the children and women.
- HOPAD provides and facilitates training and useful information to the children and women in several places of Nepal. It organizes several interaction programs, training and workshops for different groups of children and women.
- In order to support rehabilitates children of HOPAD, it handles different quality education and training programs to the deprived communities women and children.
NETWORKING
Government and non-governments different sectors people and agencies and also have good co-operation with the concern sector.
HOPAD CO-OPERATES
To popularize the concept of HOPAD interest in Nepal, HOPAD has established children’s fund program. And reward the persons who have made significant contributions in this field.
It also trusts to the national and International donors who are contributing some things and good suggestion for the children & concern women of HOPAD. It also trusts to the individual and agencies that are fear and clear to the help of Women and children of Nepal.
AN APPEAL
Now it hasn't any sustainable support for the children and women of HOPAD for their better future.
Therefore, HOPAD requests all the individuals, organizations and donors to donate us to help them heartily, your small help would be greater for the HOPAD. HOPAD is seeking support either in cash or in kind from our esteemed well-wishers to support children and women of Nepal.
